As a Jew, my tradition teaches me that God cannot forgive us for sins committed against another person until we have obtained forgiveness from the person we have wronged. We are all guilty through our direct or indirect support of modern day slavery as seen in this 1 minute clip.
How do we measure the progress a child makes? Do we look at their social growth with regards to their peers? Do we value or evaluate the way they have expanded their level of interest in new paths or looking at what books they have read? In this digital era we can assemble a portfolio of a child that can follow them throughout their academic journey.
It's amazing that those involved keep at it. Nothing wears them down. And the more we do it, the more we want to keep on being engaged. That first step seems simple enough. Then, as you continue it may become harder. But you can't seem to separate yourself from that feeling, the need to come back, try again, get to the next level. Why?
Since 2012 Global Citizen has been working to tackle many aspects. Their website is built on education but very smoothly envelops game mechanics to entice members to become educated and "level up" their engagement with the brand which is part of Global Poverty Project.
Each day we have an opportunity to seize that moment to open our mind and take in what others willingly give away. Many times the lessons that truly will impact us are not found within the the text of a book or the classroom interactions. It is mostly through the underlying values that true teaching is conducted. It is about those educators who are not focused on the individual lesson, or moment, but rather about how they would like you to look at the way you conduct yourself.

The reason I brought to attention what Jim had to say was because that is when we are at our best. There are many like minded people who share our values, think, and develop patterns that we feel we may want explore further. What attracts me, Ariel Dagan, to science is the design aspect. With everything around us that often looks and feels so complex, there is actually simplicity and order.

We must offer to lend a hand because the victims can not rise up by themselves.
